Our retained Client has a small number of high calibre vacancies with excellent prospects for advancement within the Nuclear Energy sector. These positions require suitably qualified and experienced Safety Case Engineers, Managers and Principle Consultants. All must have a proven track records within the nuclear power sector, additional experience in the following specific aspects is desirable:
The successful Candidates will have some experience in a number of the following areas: Hazard identification, HAZOP, FMEA, human error review, design basis assessment, PSA, development of SFRs, design substantiation, ALARP assessment, Safety Case writing, etc. Similar or equivalent experience and transferable knowledge outside these areas will also be considered where it could be used to develop and strengthen other business lines, and training could be available to less experienced, but otherwise suitable, Candidates.
The Client is involved in environmental and public relations sensitive issues such as new plant build, continued plant operations, plant upgrades and site restoration projects, ergo, Candidates need to be fully familiar with the standards of safety, environmental protection and radiological safeguards that apply to Nuclear licensed sites. Experience in safety issues and Safety Case production and risk assessment within the United Kingdom is therefore paramount.
