Senior Safety Case Consultant
Location: Risley, Cheshire and Westlakes, Cumbria

We currently have opportunities for Senior Safety Consultants to join our teams based at Risley (Cheshire) and Westlakes (Cumbria), responsible to the Risley Managing Consultant and working with other consultants at Risley. The variety of projects is wide and interesting and the role will be equally diverse to reflect our growing business and consultancy services. Individuals should have good communications skills and the ability to work within multi-disciplined teams. An understanding of the processes used in the production of safety cases and radiological assessments in the nuclear industry is essential.
Senior Safety Consultants will provide key support to projects run from Risley and Cumbria and will have an important role in the development of safety-case expertise in Business Development. You will have a minimum of a first degree in an appropriate science or engineering discipline and proven experience in the production of nuclear safety-cases and radiological assessments. A higher degree would be an advantage, and Chartered or approaching Chartered status is preferred.
The types of safety case experience sought should include some of the following:
• Hazard identification
• Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety Assessments
• Consequence assessment
• Safety and environmental management systems
• Nuclear licensing and safety management
• External hazard assessments
• ALARP studies
• Human Factors
• Availability/maintainability/reliability studies
• Fire safety
Salary packages will be based on experience and will include an option to participate in the very attractive Company pension scheme.
