Switching you onto a brighter future...
Nuclear Power Stations as would expect have the highest levels of safety and security of any industry. Effective safety procedures, design and commissioning is the cornerstone and starting point of all Nuclear projects.
As such the opportunities for proven successful and highly competent Safety professionals has never been greater than those opportunities available in the Nuclear sector.
ERS constantly facilitates the selection and placement of Candidates into these critical roles. We have access to both the highest calibre Candidates and firm connections with the Managerial infrastructure within the countries Nuclear Power Stations and research facilities and thereby timely knowledge of the opportunities arising.
Therefore, this generates many continual Safety career opportunities available within the Nuclear sector, including such critical roles as Site and Security Management, Safety Manager, Health and Safety Advisors and Consultants, Safety Case Engineers, Safety Case Authors, Safety Case Designers, Quality Assurance Managers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Quality Audit Engineers, Stress Analysis Engineers, Systems Security Engineers, Security Personnel and Health Physics Monitors.
Simon Turner, Senior Consultant with specialist Nuclear Recruitment Agency, Energy Recruitment Solutions ("ERS"), reports that major opportunities are arising for Safety Professionals with transferable skill sets and relevant experience in the Nuclear Sector or High Hazard environments.
Candidates with practical experience gained in such areas as: Oil and Gas, High Hazard Transport Nuclear Propulsion, Nuclear Munitions, High Hazard Natural Fuel Resources, Nuclear Military, Nuclear Marine, Nuclear Power Plant or High Hazard Site Construction, Petro-Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Commercial and Public Utilities, Private or Public Sector roles, etc. have a rare opportunity to move quickly into the blossoming Nuclear Industry.
Many established players in the Specialist Engineering field are now approaching ERS to assist with finding key personnel, as they construct specialist departments to service the Nuclear Sector over at least the next decade of Reactor new-build projects and associated on-site plant and off-site manufacturing. ERS has been retained by HSE as a Preferred Supplier of Nuclear Safety Personnel. ERS also specialise in placing Safety Case Authors and Safety Case Assessors throughout the Nuclear Sector.
The Nuclear Sector is presently experiencing something of a 'jobs boom', as demand outstrips supply of suitably skilled and experienced Safety related personnel. This has opened up new opportunities for migration of staff from other parallel and applicable disciplines in other sectors of industry as the UK economy contracts in the Recessionary economic climate.
Following a 'brain drain' of highly skilled and experienced Nuclear personnel to overseas job opportunities into foreign countries where Nuclear Power adoption has escalated, following advancements in new generation methodologies, and has subsequently become a proven reliable green source of renewable, plentiful and financially viable low-carbon energy to meet spiralling global demand, the resultant demand for suitably experienced safety related posts has risen sharply, opening up exciting career opportunities for UK Nationals.
All applicants will have to be Security Cleared, therefore only applications from British Nationals who have been resident in the UK for at least the past 5 years, will be acceptable.
