Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Job Description:
We are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work at our client's office based in Renfrew.
Reporting to the Area Surveyor you will be responsible for managing a small commercial team, taking on full commercial responsibility for the specific projects. Your main duties will include:
- Ensuring that all duties are carried out in accordance with standard SHEQ procedures and work instructions.
- The management and maintenance of a contract cost reporting system which can effectively manage the financial status of the contract, the tasks and the people involved in putting this information into the system in order that such reports are produced in a timely manner.
- Ensuring the necessary interface information between client, subcontractors and departments is provided in a timely manner.
- Establishing programme commitments are being met and advise on action to be taken wihen this is not the case, whether as a result of a company breach or otherwise.
- Monitoring labour allocations and mix and report on deviations to required budget

We provide the Nuclear Defence & Civil Sector with Nuclear Quantity Surveyors, providing all levels from Junior/ Graduate Quantity Surveyors engineers all the way up to senior Quantity Surveyors. All candidates have direct field/site based experience within the UK Nuclear power stations or armed forces / naval bases.

We supply Engineers and Managers with diverse engineering backgrounds covering all aspects of Quantity Surveying within a nuclear or Defence environment. We have opportunities within Quantity Surveying teams covering projects throughout the whole life cycle of projects.
Our contractors provide the backup required to initiate projects and pull them back on track. We are able to provide the valuable project support your existing project teams require. Providing technical expertise in maintaining and developing your Quantity Surveyancing programs. Seamlessly interfacing with all other aspects of your projects and business.
Our Quantity Surveyors understand our clients specific Nuclear and Defence industry needs.
Our candidates generally have Nuclear, Defence and or Utilities sectors backgrounds.
Almost all candidates have held or are currently SECURITY CLEARED to site clearance or above. (BC+, SC or DV)
Generally having spent a number of years within their careers providing direct hands on Quantity Surveying services and guidance within their respected organizations.
Chartered status is a standard charter amongst our top flight managers.
Rates of Pay
Rates of pay are dependent upon length of experience within the nuclear sector or related fields, and depth of experience gained in the required role. In addition, travel and subsistence allowances can be made available.
