Nuclear Engineering Systems Manager
We are looking for a multi disciplined Nuclear systems engineering manager.
Ideally we require individuals with experience of the following systems control.
Reactor Start-up control
Zone (Rod) Control
Boiler control
Gag control
CCR display of alarms, indications and data storage functions
The BS 61508/PES requirement will be to SIL 2 level (10-2 fpd)
Type of Work
We require the Nuclear systems control manager to work as part of a team create test specifications for code created by ATOS from BE specifications. You should have Heavy and light Plant type knowledge, nuclear knowledge and knowledge of IEC 61508 and related requirements will be useful.
In addition you will be expected to travel to the relevant Nuclear Power stations around the UK and carry out the witnessing Factory Acceptance Tests and the ongoing assistance with full site installation and testing.
C&I Engineer with real time computing experience
Knowledge or experience with BS61508 and/or BE's PES Guidelines
Knowledge or experience working with a lifecycle for safety related systems
Expereince with design, testing and commissioning or other work with large SCADA and PLC based system
Data processing experience
Experience with dara flow and state transition concepts
Experience with any of the technologies/work areas listed below
Experience with working under the requirements of a Safety Related Nuclear Safety Case
Willing to be based at Barnwood, Gloucester for an extended period
Degree qualified - desirable
Chartered Engineer - desirable
Rates of Pay
Rates of pay are dependent upon length of experience within the nuclear sector or related fields, and depth of experience gained in the required role. In addition, travel and subsistence allowances can be made available.
